- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. tomatoes (1 lb. can)
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 lb. cheese
- 4 oz. can mushrooms (optional)
- 8 oz. mostaccioli noodles, cooked
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Brown meat, add green peppers, mushrooms and onions.
- Cook until tender.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, water and seasonings.
- In a 2-quart casserole, layer half the cooked noodles, meat sauce and cheese.
- Repeat layers.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
