Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/3 c. warm water
- 1 c. cold water
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 6 to 8 c. plain flour
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Into 1 cup boiling water, add shortening, sugar and salt.
- When cool, add eggs and cold water and beat.
- Add yeast and flour to make a soft dough.
- Let rise until doubled in size and knead down.
- Cut in rolls.
- Bake at 350° until golden brown.
