Ingredients
- 5 c. flour (self-rising)
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 pkg. yeast
Method
- Dissolve
- yeast
- in
- water
- (lukewarm).
- Sift flour and sugar together.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add yeast and water; stir until elastic-like strands form.
- Place dough in greased bowl and cover. Let
- dough
- rise
- 30
- minutes
- or until doubled in bulk.
- Shape rolls
- and bake on greased pan in preheated 450° oven for 15 minutes.
