Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 cup packed brown sugar
  • 34 cup old fashioned oats
  • 12 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup crisp rice cereal
  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  • In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking soda and baking powder.
  • In a 1-quart glass container, layer the flour mixture, brown sugar, oats, pecans and rice cereal, packing well between each layer.
  • Cover and store in a cool dry place up to 6 months.
  • (1 batch (about 4 cups total).
  • To Prepare Cookies:.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream the butter.
  • Beat in egg and vanilla.
  • Add the cookie mix and mix well.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inch apart onto greased baking sheets.
  • Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool for 2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.
