Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 3 c. Quaker Oats (quick or old-fashioned), uncooked
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Blend in orange juice.
- Add combined Quaker Oats and flour, mixing well.
- Refrigerate 10 minutes.
- Shape into 1-inch balls.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Press into 2-inch circles.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
- Remove from cookie sheet.
- Cool completely.
