- 3 (1 oz.) slices white bread, torn into small pieces
- 1/4 c. skim milk
- 1 1/4 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped flat-leaf parsley
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a large bowl, soak bread in milk 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients; mix gently.
- Shape into 8 x 5 x 1 1/2-inch loaf.
- Place on rack in pan.
- Bake 50 to 60 minutes.
