Ingredients
- 1 c. pecans (whole or broken)
- 1/3 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 (9-inch) pie shell
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°.
- Prepare pastry shell.
- Mix together eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter or margarine, vanilla and salt until well blended.
- (Use an electric mixer.)
- Stir in pecans and pour mixture into pastry shell.
- Bake 15 minutes, then turn oven down to 325° and bake for 25 to 30 minutes longer.
- Cool and serve.
