Ingredients

  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 12 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 34 cup frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained well
  • 34 cup swiss cheese, shredded (3 oz)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 14 cup plus 2 tbsp half-and-half cream
  • 34 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Combine the softened cream cheese and softened butter in a medium mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth.
  • Add the flour, and beat at medium speed until smooth.
  • Shape the pastry into 24 1" balls.
  • Place each ball into a miniature (1 3/4 inch) muffin pan; press dough onto the bottom and sides to form a shell.
  • Set aside.
  • Combine the chopped broccoli and remaining ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring well.
  • Spoon the broccoli mixture evenly into the shells.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until set and lightly browned.
