Ingredients
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 lb. margarine, melted
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. anise flavor
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 shot glass Sambuca or Anisette
Method
- In blender, beat eggs until fluffy.
- Gradually add sugar to beaten eggs.
- Mix until smooth.
- Add melted margarine, vanilla, anise flavor and Sambuca.
- Mix until well blended. Sift flour and baking powder together in a large bowl.
- Add egg mixture and beat with hand mixer until smooth.
- Batter will be sticky.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls in center of pattern on pizzelle iron.
- Heat until golden.
- When cool, sprinkle with confectioners sugar through sifter.
