Ingredients
- 2 c. butter
- 1 (1 lb.) box confectioners sugar plus extra for sprinkling on warm cake
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs. Add cake flour and vanilla; blend well.
- Pour batter into lightly greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
- Bake in preheated 325° oven 1 hour and 20 minutes or until cake tests done.
- Cool 5 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar, if desired.
