- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 small can pumpkin
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cloves
Method
- Cream brown sugar and Crisco.
- Add eggs and pumpkin and stir well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients; mix well.
- Drop by well-rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 12 minutes in 350° oven.
- When cool, fill with filling.
- Place 2 cookies together.
