Ingredients
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Sift dry ingredients into bowl, and shortening, 1/2 c. milk, and eggs. Stir until flour is dampened, then beat 2 minutes. Pour into loaf pan, 4 by 13, and bake at 350 until done. The cake will be golden brown with a crack in top.
