Ingredients
- 1 lb. beef stew meat or chicken or venison, cut up
- 1 lb. pork steak, diced
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cans water
- 1 clove garlic or more
- pinch of sage
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Brown meats and onion in oil and butter.
- Add remaining ingredients and stew until meats are tender.
- Add 1 can drained peas, any spices you like and tomato sauce (all optional).
- Serve over polenta.
