Ingredients
- 4 lb. rump roast
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1/2 c. beef broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. marjoram
- 1/4 tsp. basil
Method
- Coat roast
- with
- mixture
- of
- flour,
- salt and pepper. Brown roast in
- 12-inch
- Dutch
- oven with oil.
- Mix broth, bay leaves, garlic salt,
- marjoram
- and basil. Pour over meat and bake 2 1/2 hours.
- You
- can
- remove meat when done and thicken juices with flour for gravy.
