Ingredients
- 6 slices white bread
- butter
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 lb. sausage
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Remove crusts from bread, spread with butter and place in greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
- Set aside.
- Brown sausage, stirring to crumble.
- Drain well.
- Spoon over bread and sprinkle with cheese.
- Mix eggs, milk and salt together.
- Pour over cheese. Cover casserole and refrigerate overnight.
- Remove 15 minutes before baking.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes.
