Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 3 1/2 c. Cool Whip whipped topping
  • 2 c. graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 1/2 c. peeled, chopped apple
  • 1/2 c. corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 1/3 c. walnut pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine

Method

  • Grease a
  • x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, beat eggs with a fork.
  • Gently fold in next 3 ingredients, 1/4 cup
  • of the
  • corn
  • syrup,
  • and
  • the cinnamon and nutmeg until blended. Spread
  • evenly
  • in
  • pan.
  • Mix
  • remaining corn syrup, walnut pieces and margarine.
  • Spoon evenly over batter.
  • Bake in a
  • 350° oven for 45 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
  • Cool in pan.
