Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups Butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 clove Garlic (fresh Pressed Is Best)
  • 1 pint Heavy Cream
  • 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 pinch Pepper (optional)

Method

  • In a 2-quart saucepan, melt your butter over medium heat.
  • When its about halfway melted, add your garlic.
  • When completely melted, stir in your cream.
  • Whisk occasionally as it heats to blend the cream and butter.
  • When its just about to simmer, add 1/2 cup of the shredded parmesan, whisking until melted (about 3 minutes).
  • Be sure to keep whisking so the cheese doesnt stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • Repeat with the remaining parmesan, adding half a cup at a time.
  • Viola!
  • Your alfredo sauce is complete.
  • Add a pinch of pepper if you wish and serve over your favorite pasta.
