Ingredients
- 1/2 cups Butter, cut into pieces
- 1 clove Garlic (fresh Pressed Is Best)
- 1 pint Heavy Cream
- 1- 1/2 cup Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 1 pinch Pepper (optional)
Method
- In a 2-quart saucepan, melt your butter over medium heat.
- When its about halfway melted, add your garlic.
- When completely melted, stir in your cream.
- Whisk occasionally as it heats to blend the cream and butter.
- When its just about to simmer, add 1/2 cup of the shredded parmesan, whisking until melted (about 3 minutes).
- Be sure to keep whisking so the cheese doesnt stick to the bottom of the pan.
- Repeat with the remaining parmesan, adding half a cup at a time.
- Viola!
- Your alfredo sauce is complete.
- Add a pinch of pepper if you wish and serve over your favorite pasta.
