Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 4 c. oven toasted rice cereal
  • 2 c. whole wheat flakes cereal

Method

  • Melt margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add sugar; stir well.
  • Add marshmallows; cook until marshmallows melt, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat; stir in cereal.
  • Press cereal mixture evenly into the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan coated with cooking spray.
  • Let cool for 1 hour.
  • Yield:
  • 18 servings.
  • (Serving 1 x 3 x 2-inch bars.)
