Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Uncle Ben's converted enriched parboiled rice
  • 2 lb. ground pork
  • 2 lb. hamburg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 48 oz. can tomato juice
  • 6 lb. 10 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • garlic powder and onion powder to taste

Method

  • Fully cook rice and let stand and cool down.
  • Combine ground meat, rice, eggs and seasoning.
  • Mix well.
  • Core cabbage and parboil.
  • Peel off each leaf with 2 forks.
  • Take a handful of the combined mixture.
  • Place the mixture to the back of the cabbage leaf; roll until the mixture is covered by the leaf, then fold the sides in and finish the roll.
