- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 (28 oz.) cans tomatoes
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- salt
- 2 tsp. basil, crushed
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 lb. spaghetti
- 4-6 quarts boiling water
Method
- Brown ground beef in a large pot.
- Drain off excess fat. Saute onions and garlic until tender.
- Stir into ground beef, onions and garlic, undrained tomatoes and tomato paste, salt, basil, sugar and chili powder.
- Heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer on low for 30 minutes, stirring
- occasionally.
