Ingredients

  • 1 large head broccoli
  • 2 c. water plus 2 to 3 chicken bouillon cubes or 1 large can defatted chicken broth

Method

  • Wash and separate broccoli to florets (can use stalks if peeled, cut into 1-inch cubes).
  • Bring water and bouillon cubes or chicken broth to boil.
  • Boil until reduced by 1/3.
  • Add broccoli. Cook until tender-crisp or to your preference.
  • Drain, reserving liquid, if desired to cook rice and noodles.
  • This is the only way I cook broccoli or any raw vegetable.
