Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1 c. chunky style peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp. instant nonfat dry milk
  • 2 Tbsp. wheat germ
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. toasted oats cereal

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a large bowl cream together butter, brown sugar and honey.
  • Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, dry milk, wheat germ, salt and baking soda.
  • Add to batter, stirring well.
  • Fold in toasted oats cereal. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten with fork.
  • Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
