Ingredients

  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cream margarine, oil, sugar and powdered sugar until fluffy. Add eggs and beat well.
  • Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
  • Mix well and add vanilla and lemon juice.
  • Form in tiny balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Press flat with glass dipped in sugar.
  • Bake at 375° until light brown.
