Ingredients

  • 1 c. soft margarine
  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 5 c. uncooked oatmeal
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 c. each desired additions: chocolate chips, raisins, coconut, chopped nuts

Method

  • In a large bowl, cream first four ingredients.
  • Stir in eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • Add flour, soda, salt and oatmeal.
  • Mix well. Stir in chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, walnuts, raisins, coconut or whatever you like.
  • I use 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 cup raisins and 1 cup chocolate chips.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated 350° oven about 12 minutes.
  • Makes about 8 dozen.
