Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups Honey
  • 1/3 cups White Sugar
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons Allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoons Ground Cloves
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1/8 cups Sour Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 2-1/2 cups Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Cinnamon Sugar, For Dusting Cookies

Method

  • In a saucepan, heat honey, sugar, butter, salt, and spices. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Let cool.
  • Beat eggs and add to the cooled honey mixture with the sour cream.
  • Add the baking soda and flour to the honey mixture. Stir.
  • Put in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes so that the dough hardens some.
  • Drop by floured teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 300°F for 14 minutes.
  • Note: Take the cookies out before they are brown; they're great chewy! And the cookies aren't very sweet, so I dusted some cinnamon sugar over the tops when I took the cookies out of the oven.
