Ingredients
- 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
- 3/4 c. white sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- hot water
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Method
- Cream the butter, then add both sugars and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in 1/8 cup hot water and add to mixture.
- Blend in flour well. Stir in nuts. Using a cookie scoop or level soup spoon, drop
- dough onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
