Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 3/4 to 1 c. milk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Method

  • Combine eggs, milk and vanilla.
  • In separate bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry.
  • Add melted butter. Whisk until batter is smooth, but do not overmix.
  • Nuts can be added at this point, or sprinkled on waffle prior to cooking. Cook waffles until golden brown.
  • Top with whipped cream and grated walnuts, if desired.
