Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cube butter + 1 cube margarine
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. white chocolate chips

Method

  • Heat oven to 325°.
  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Beat butter, margarine and sugars until fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  • Beat in flour mixture until just combined.
  • Stir in chocolates.
  • Drop by slightly rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake until edges are brown but centers are still slightly soft (10 minutes).
  • Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before cooling on a rack.
  • Makes 5 dozen cookies.
