Ingredients

  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 cup Olive Oil, Plus 1 Teaspoon For The Pasta Water
  • 6 cups Fresh Basil
  • 6 cloves Garlic
  • 1 pound Whole Wheat Pasta
  • 5 Tablespoons Parmesan Cheese

Method

  • 1.
  • Boil water in a large pot, add a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of olive oil.

  • Wash basil and pat dry with paper towels.
  • Place in a blender.
  • 3.
  • Take the garlic cloves and throw them in the blender.
  • 4.
  • Start the blender and slowly add 1 cup of olive oil until desired texture is reached.
  • 5.
  • Once water is boiling, throw uncooked pasta into the pot and wait until pasta is al dente or fully cooked (whichever you prefer).
  • Once pasta is done, drain pasta into a colander, place drained pasta into a plate and scoop 3 tablespoons of pesto into each plate.
  • 6.
  • Garnish with Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
