Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. fat-free milk

Method

  • Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in greased 8 or 9-inch square baking pan.
  • Make 2 holes in the dry ingredients. Pour oil into one, the vinegar and vanilla into the other.
  • Pour the milk over all and mix until well blended and smooth.
  • Bake at 350° until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean (about 30 minutes).
  • Cool in pan on wire rack.
  • Spread with Chocolate Glaze.
