Ingredients
- 4 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. cornstarch
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 10 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- enough apples to fill 8-qt. jars, sliced
Method
- Combine all ingredients; bring to a boil, then add lemon juice.
- Cook until thick.
- Cover apples in jars with liquid.
- Seal and process in hot water bath 20 minutes.
