Ingredients
- 3 c. cooked fresh apples
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
Method
- Cook fresh apples until half done in 1 cup of water.
- Thicken this mixture with cornstarch and 1/4 cup water.
- Mix with brown sugar, cinnamon and butter.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Top crust can be cut in strips.
- Lay across the pie vertically, then horizontally.
- Brush with melted margarine.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and white sugar.
