Ingredients

  • 1 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 4 1/2 c. Special K cereal
  • 1 c. chopped peanuts
  • 2 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Method

  • Bring first 2 ingredients to a boil and remove from stove. Stir peanut butter into hot syrup. Place cereal and peanuts into a 13 x 9-inch buttered pan. Pour chocolate chips on top. Let stand 5 minutes and spread chocolate chips. Place under broiler for seconds to soften, if necessary. Put into refrigerator to set, but don't leave in for very long. Cut in squares (I don't chop peanuts).
