Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 or 3 bananas
- baked 8-inch pie shell
- 1/4 c. sugar
Method
- Mix flour, 1/2 cup sugar and salt in top of double boiler. Slowly stir in hot milk; cook over direct heat until mixture thickens.
- Stir a little of the hot mixture into well beaten egg yolks; cook until thick.
- Add the sliced bananas and vanilla.
- Beat egg whites until soft peaks.
- Cover the cream mixture and brown.
