Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 c. hot water
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Remove outer leaves of cabbage, cut cabbage into 6 wedges. Place in baking dish.
  • Sprinkle onion and rice between wedges. Crumble ground beef between wedges.
  • Combine tomatoes, water, salt and pepper in bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour over casserole.
  • Bake, covered, at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
