Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 14 cup ketchup
  • 12 teaspoon asian chili paste

Method

  • Prepare the broiler pan by spraying it with cooking spray.
  • Pre-heat the broiler.
  • Place the steak on the pan and broil 5 to 6 minutes, until browned.
  • Turn and broil another 4 to 5 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Meanwhile, combine ketchup and chili paste.
  • Brush on flank steak and return to the broiler until the glaze is "set" and the edges begin to bubble, about 2 minutes.
  • Let steak rest 5 minutes then cut, against the grain, into thin slices.
