Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 Tbsp. butternut flavoring
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3 1/4 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. Pet milk or 1 c. milk
- 5 eggs
Method
- Cream shortening, butter and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk and water.
- Stir in butternut flavoring.
- Bake in greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes (test with toothpick).
- Start in cold oven.
- Leave in pan 20 to 30 minutes before taking out of pan.
