Ingredients

  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
  • 2 c. cooked chicken, cut up
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 2 c. Bisquick
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 1/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Rinse peas under running cold water to separate.
  • Heat peas, chicken soup, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper to just boiling in saucepan, stirring frequently.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Keep warm while preparing biscuits.
  • Stir Bisquick and water to soft dough.
  • Beat 20 strokes.
  • Smooth into a ball.
  • Knead 5 times.
  • Roll 1/2-inch thick and cut with 2-inch cutter.
  • Pour chicken mixture into oblong dish.
  • Sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Put biscuits on cheese.
  • Bake about 20 minutes.
