Ingredients
- hash browns
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 2/3 c. hot water
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 2/3 c. milk
- grated cheese
Method
- Brown ground beef.
- Stir in water, margarine and hash browns. Heat to boiling over high heat until margarine is melted.
- Reduce heat to medium high, press beef and hash browns down evenly.
- Cook uncovered, do not turn or stir until liquid is absorbed and bottom is brown.
- Cut small sections and turn sections to continue browning.
- Press firmly and continue cooking about 2 minutes or until brown.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir milk and cheese together and pour over the top.
- Do not mix together.
