Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Turkey Or Beef
  • 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry Minced Onion
  • 28 ounces, weight Canned Whole Tomatoes, Pureed
  • 14 ounces, fluid Can Of Tomato Sauce
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Dry Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2-1/2 cups Dry Lasagna Noodles

Method

  • In a large pot over medium heat, brown ground turkey with garlic and onion. Continue until no longer pink. Drain grease if necessary.
  • Return meat to pot. Add in tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, Italian seasoning and salt/pepper. Stir to combine a bit. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add the lasagna noodles. Cook until tender (approximately 10-15 more minutes). Stir in Parmesan cheese.
  • If desired, garnish with shredded mozzarella cheese when serving.
