Ingredients
- 3 c. self-rising meal
- 3 eggs
- 3 Tbsp. melted shortening
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- milk
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 3 eggs, beaten
- chicken broth
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Combine first 4 ingredients and mix with enough milk to make soft mixture.
- Bake at 450° until light brown.
- Cool and crumble bread, then add celery, onions, soup, eggs, salt and pepper and enough broth to make a soupy mixture.
- Cook in 350° oven until light brown, but not hard.
- It should be soft when ready to eat, but not runny.
