Ingredients

  • 5 (1/2) chicken breasts, skin removed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. sage
  • 1 large can chicken broth
  • 3 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 or 2 cans Pillsbury biscuits
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • In large pan put washed chicken.
  • Cover with water.
  • Add onion, celery and sage.
  • Boil until chicken is tender.
  • Remove and set aside.
  • Add can of chicken broth, bouillon cubes and butter to water in pan.
  • Roll out biscuits thinly on floured board.
  • Cut into slices.
  • Add to boiling broth.
  • Turn heat to medium.
  • Debone chicken and add to pan in pieces.
  • Cook about 15 or 20 minutes. One can of biscuits will feed 4; two cans will feed a crowd.
