Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. butter
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
Method
- Combine flour and sugar; mix well and set aside.
- Combine water, butter and cocoa in heavy saucepan.
- Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
- Gradually stir in flour mixture.
- Stir in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.
- Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
- While warm, prick surface and spread with Chocolate Candy Frosting.
