Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. egg whites
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. moist shredded coconut
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted and slightly cooled

Method

  • Beat egg whites until frothy.
  • Gradually beat in sugar. Continue beating until mixture is very stiff and glossy.
  • Stir in salt, vanilla, coconut and melted but slightly cooled chocolate. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased wrapping paper on cookie sheet.
  • Bake about 20 minutes at 325°.
  • Bake until set and delicately browned.
  • Makes about 3 dozen Kisses.
