Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup cold Land O Lakes Butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup mini real semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup almond or English toffee bits
  • 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Method

  • Heat oven to 375F.
  • Combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder and baking soda in bowl; cut in 1/2 cup butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Stir in milk just until flour is moistened.
  • Gently stir in chocolate chips and toffee bits.
  • Drop about 1/4 cup batter for each biscuit, 1 inch apart, onto large ungreased baking sheet.
  • Brush tops with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle biscuits evenly with 1 tablespoon sugar.
  • Bake 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Serve warm.
