Ingredients
- 12 large green tomatoes
- 1 red pepper
- 2 green peppers
- 4 large onions
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 2 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
Method
- Grind tomatoes, peppers and onions using a coarse grinder. Add remaining ingredients and cook until thick (about 2 hours). Stir frequently to prevent burning.
- Pack in hot sterilized jars and seal immediately.
- Very good on cooked greens.
- Great on hot dogs.
- Makes 4 pints.
