Ingredients
- 1 large pkg. Jell-O (any flavor, strawberry or strawberry-banana is great)
- 1 small can crushed pineapple
- 2 c. buttermilk (no kidding!)
- 1 small container Cool Whip
- 1/2 to 1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Method
- In small saucepan, stir Jell-O and undrained pineapple together and bring to
- a boil.
- Set aside until room temperature. In very large mixing bowl, fold buttermilk into Cool Whip.
- Stir the Jell-O and pineapple mixture into buttermilk and Cool Whip mixture.
- Stir until well mixed and color is uniform.
- Pour into large oblong Pyrex dish or mold (fits great in the Tupperware ring mold).
- Makes a delicious holiday salad!!
