Ingredients
- 1 c. (1/4 lb.) mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onions
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1/2 c. light cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Method
- Slice mushrooms through cap and stem.
- Cook with onion in butter for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and blend; add stock.
- Cook and stir until slightly thickened.
- Cool slightly.
- Add sour cream and seasoning.
- Heat through.
- Serve at once.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
