Ingredients

  • 1 pound navy beans
  • 1 lg. onion
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 pound smoked metts
  • 3 strips bacon
  • 2 tbsp. salt (you might use less)

Method

  • Cook beans, onions and salt till tender.
  • Retain liquid from draining.
  • Pour beans into casserole.
  • Add in tomato sauce, sugar, mustard and metts, that has been grnd up.
  • Mix well; add in sufficient retained liquid to make mix thin.
  • Cover with bacon strips.
  • Bake at 375 degrees till solid.
