Ingredients

  • 1/2 c.Mirin Japanese cooking sauce
  • 1"x1 1/2"piece of fresh ginger, peeled & grated
  • 1 T. finely chopped shallot
  • 1 large, as fresh as you can get, (organic) huge clove of garlic. minced
  • 2 tsps. Braggs soy
  • 1 tsp Nuac Mam
  • 1 T. lemon juice fresh squeezed.
  • simmer in pot X 5- 10 min to infuse flavors, take off heat and let sit at room temp. to increase flavours.

Method

  • have at least a dozen oysters Mix all ingred. (except oysters) in non metallic bowl.
  • BBQ is hot,,place scrubbed oysters on hot grill 8-10 min.
  • Remove, and detach foot from shell.
  • On open oyster, drizzle 1 Tbsp of sauce,
  • Sambel Ulek on the side for adding heat/chili flavour
